Sleep in Heavenly Peace
All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Across our area, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health. That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace® comes in. Greensport is dedicated to serving this organization through donations and volunteers.
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies is a local non-profit dedicated to fighting childhood hunger in St Clair County Schools, Pell City Schools, and Leeds City Schools. Greensport Church supports this ministry by bringing sealed snacks and drinks for donation to this program. The agency identifies children who are food insecure and provides them with nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they can take home every Friday.
Homebound Ministry
This ministry is an outreach to those in our church and community who are homebound and would benefit from having a meal delivered to them. The Overcomers Sunday School class sponsors this ministry.
Alabama Baptist Children’s Home Support
Periodically we collect cleaning supplies for the Children’s Home in Oxford. Please bring your supply donations to the church.
Ashville / Ragland School Supplies
Greensport church members bring various school supplies (notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, glue, colors, markers, etc) at the beginning of each school year to help children who need assistance in procuring their back-to-school supplies in the Ashville and Ragland schools.
